“A splendid drama by a playwright… with poetic as well as human feeling.” – Variety
Jim Leonard Jr.’s “The Diviners” is a luminous story of faith and doubt, love and grief. This drama features a strong ensemble of well-rounded characters, the well-intentioned people of a small town in search of its past, and uncertain of its future.
The story is set in the early days of the Depression in a small southern Indiana town named Zion.
A diviner: person able to locate the presence of water, especially underground, with a divining rod.
