Actors must sign up for a 30-minute audition time slot. (Up to 5 actors per slot)
Actors must submit their registration form, COVID-19 compliance form, and payment in
advance. Forms should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Payment may be made through our website at taylordance.org
Actors should come prepared to move. Auditions will begin with dance choreography learned in the Workshop, (register below), or via the VIMEO links below. The Dance Captain will lead them in auditions, but the choreography will NOT be taught in the audition.
AUDITION CHOREOGRAPHY VIDEOS
Actors will be asked to perform a musical selection(s) as indicated below:
ALL – the Ensemble section of “All That Jazz”
If auditioning for Billy – “Razzle Dazzle”
If auditioning for Mama Morton – “When You’re Good to Mama”
If auditioning for Amos – “Mister Cellophane”
If auditioning for Roxie – “Roxie”
If auditioning for Velma – Velma’s section of “All That Jazz”
If an actor is NOT auditioning for a lead, they only need to sing the Ensemble section of “All
Actors may either bring their own electronic accompaniment or sing to the rehearsal track
provided by our Music Director.
Actors will be asked to audition with a prepared scene. Options for scenes will be made
available by August 19th.
Students should bring a copy of their chosen scene with them to auditions but to be off book (have the scene memorized) for their audition.

WORKSHOP FOR DANCE AUDITIONS (Optional)

Dance choreography will NOT be taught at the audition.
This is an opportunity to learn the dance combination choreography that actors will need to perform at the audition. It is the responsibility of the Auditionee to learn the choreography prior to auditions. Slots for this workshop are on a first-come, first-served basis.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
