POLICIES
FIRST STEPS Ages 2-5, PK DANCE Ages 4-5, ELEMENTARY Beg Age 6
Gary Taylor PK Dance & Elementary Dance Studio Dance Students commit to a season through June 5, 2026 and payment of the following non-refundable fees in a timely manner in the mode in which specified, regardless of early withdrawal. First Steps is by semester.
Dancers must study with Gary Taylor Dance in order to perform with the organization.
ATTIRE
FIRST STEPS
Mommy & Me: Young ladies: Leotard, any color, & pink tights, hair off face. Shoes: pink ballet shoes, Young Men: Black jazz pants, white shirt, white socks, Hair: off face if long, Shoes: Black ballet shoes.
Creative Movement: Any clothing the kids can comfortably move in, like workout attire.
PK DANCE
Young ladies: Leotard, any color, & pink tights, hair off face. Shoes: pink ballet shoes & black ribbon tie tap shoes.
Young men: Black jazz pants, white shirt, white socks, Shoes: black ballet shoes, black tap shoes.
ELEMENTARY
Young ladies: black leotard, pink tights, jazz pants, hair in bun. Shoes: pink canvas split-sole ballet shoes, black pedinis for jazz (if available) or black split-sole jazz shoes, black ribbon tie tap shoes or black lace up oxford tap shoes.
Young men: Black Jazz pants, white or black shirt, white socks. Shoes: Black ballet shoes, black jazz shoes, black lace up oxford tap shoes.
BOYS
Black Jazz pants, white or black t-shirt (No Logo), white socks. Shoes: Black jazz shoes.
WEATHER
Gary Taylor Dance has its own inclement weather policy and does not necessarily follow any particular school system closings. Students will be contacted through email for any schedule updates.
FEES
All fees are non-refundable and payable to Gary Taylor Dance unless otherwise stated.
STUDY FEES
REGISTRATION
Paid once a season and is due at time of registration.
TUITION
May be paid in full or monthly, and may be auto-drafted on a credit or debit card.
Season Tuition may be paid in full or monthly. Monthly payments are due on the 1st, past due on the 5th and subject to a $35 late fee after the 5th. The ½ month of June is charged with the May payment and due at the same time. (Not prorated except for those who join mid-season.)
While every consideration is given to those who opt only to study with Gary Taylor Dance, registration and summer intensive/season tuition fees are not prorated due to any interruption in class schedule. Tuition is based on an annual fee which is divided by 10.5 months (Aug – 1/2 month June) and charged monthly. A discount is offered for those who pay by the season.
PRODUCTION FEES
FIRST STEP: N/A
PK DANCE: $265.00 Due Nov 1 or at time of Registration
ELEMENTARY 1: $265.00 Due Nov 1 or at time of Registration
ELEMENTARY 2: $300 Due November 1 or at time of Registration
BOYS DANCE: N/A (Subject to update)
Production fees includes, but are not limited to, costuming and performance costs unless otherwise stated. Should the performer no longer be able to participate, the performer remains responsible for the fees.
NOTE: Tuition payments through the one-half month of June are required prior to performance in order to participate.
Performers will receive costumes only after all payments and fees have been satisfied including registration, production, and tuition. Should the performer no longer be able to participate, the performer remains responsible for the FEES. Costumes will be delivered and distributed during theater rehearsals. Should any costume item be lost, damaged, or misplaced, the performer is responsible for any additional cost of replacement incurred. Unless otherwise designated, all costumes and/or accessories become the property of the performer at time of issue.
Performers are responsible for personal items such as shoes, tights, makeup, hair supplies, and applicable undergarments. Gary Taylor Dance is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items.
NOTE: Costumes are under the exclusive direction of the Executive and Artistic Directors. No variance is made from this policy. Should the performer no longer be able to participate, the performer remains responsible for the fees.
PAYMENTS
Payments may be accepted through the website, by autodraft, and in person. (Convenience fees may apply) We ask that no payments be mailed.
