The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision

Imagine Youth Theater is a workshop based musical theater program offering several performance workshops per season, and a 3-week summer workshop. Casting auditions are held prior to the workshops which typically meet twice a week. (All who audition will be cast unless otherwise specified.) Students study acting, singing, blocking, and choreography specific to the production.
The program offers two divisions:
Imagine Youth Theater offers workshops for grades 8-12, One Acts workshops, and a summer workshop (Age 18 and under, recent graduates welcome)
Imagine Youth Theater Jr offers workshops for grades 3-8 and a 3-week summer workshop
